Just a heads up for the new folks coming in for the Hamb Drags and those that consider it a ritual. All the pertinent info can be found here. http://www.ozarksantiqueautoclub.com/Swap Meet.aspx My spaces have traditionally been the HAMB camp for Thursday and Friday. Unfortunately I slept in one day this year and somebody nabbed my usual spot BUT, I was able to reserve the spaces just behind the old ones. SO Hamb Central will be Spaces P-075 & P-077. I've usually got a dolly for heavy stuff and some shade if you can elbow your way in. There is a printable map on the website in case you get lost. See ya'll there. BTW-Anybody want to buy a boat?
1972 Stinger picklefork speed boat. Minus motor and most everything else. Still has the i/o drive on it.
If you don't get there thursday ben and I will have all the good stuff bought up... Oh wait, i wasn't supposed to tell that...
Oh Yeah, Just a heads up. They have redone the intersection at Kansas and I-44 (Fairgrounds Exit) and it'll screw with your brain so be prepared. You don't stop to make the left like normal when coming from Joplin. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diverging_diamond_interchange
Yep, it's pretty weird allright. But, as long as it works, I guess it's OK. Maybe the engineer that designed that is dyslexic....
I thought it was cool and the traffic flowed pretty well into the swapmeet. Do you know if they are making a similar interchange on the next ramp to the East? There was a lot of construction there as well, but I couldn't tell if it is another diverging diamond. CRAB
