you are all welcome for putting on the best show in northern california. i wish we got all the money that cal expo made, that would just mean next years show will be bigger.
remember this show is self funding. if it wasnt for the sponsers and all of you showing up every year we wouldnt be able to make it happen.

Yeah, think is the operative word here...I was going to say a few of them looked more like Marilyn Manson. Is ugly acceptable when it comes to all this "kulture"****? I don't get it...probably never will.

Seriously, I saw EASILY 200 or more WAY hotter and better dressed girls walking around the fairgrounds. If it isn't about personality, appearance or outfit then why even have it? Again, I don't get it. Maybe the local cross dressing neanderthal would like to enter...or is there at LEAST a gender requirement? I guess you can call THAT a standard...if you really have to...lol.

Bruce and the rest of the Poor Boys, please don't take this personally as I know you guys have no control over who gets up on stage, but what makes most of these girls think that they are stage or camera worthy? I HAS to be the "kulture" thing... Personally I prefer attractive women, but maybe that's just me.

not to mention all the hondabilly kids with the period perfect clothes and hair but have never owned a car... but they will tell you all day how your car isn't traditional...
the kustom kulture thing has gotten a bit outta control...

We're sliding way off topic here but I couldn't agree with you more. I saw so many people walking around this year that....I don't know.....you could just tell were posers. Nobody ever said you had to roll up your dark blue jeans, get tats and have a bad at***ude to walk around these shows. Since when did you have to worry about bumping into somebody and getting into a fight? And again, probably by somebody that has a '98 Cavalier in the parking lot trying to act hard.

This is what I keep thinking about. It seemed to me that it was pretty clear that all alcohol was to be in cups. No big deal. We grabbed some Dixie cups when we got our beer. However, when I go to leave at 11:30, I couldn't dodge the broken beer bottles ****tered all over the parking lot. I just spent $900 with Coker. As hard as I tried to, I couldn't avoid them and ran over a couple and there was a group of guys standing right there by their cars and they were laughing their ***es off. I guess this isn't my type of crowd or something because I would've helped guide someone through that mess or found someone with a broom and cleaned it up. We're all car guys and we have a lot in common. Why wouldn't anyone help out in that situation? Why were they ****ing laughing?? Real nice. Everybody watch, coming soon......no alcoholic beverages will be brought in. You want beer? $8.50 each at the beer garden. Thanks alot, ***holes!

Yep, it's usually the posers that create the most problems. They bring an element that TRUE car guys actually try to avoid. Hey, I've been doing wrenching and talking cars for over 25 years now and to be completely honest here, REAL cl***ic car guys are some of the best people out there. This kulture **** will kill these types of events. Drama school dropouts who still want to play dress up and act "kool". Yo daddio, here's a newsflash, this isn't a West Side Story remake, it's a ******** car show...save the drama for someone who cares....damn posers! I brought my 16 yo daughter and I wasn't too comfortable....all the swearing that would make a sailor blush, two-ton Tilly in a ONE TON dress, drunken fools ogling at my SIXTEEN yo kid. In ALL the years I have been going to carshows this is the FIRST time I had to cringe at the behavior of spectators.

Great show...too bad it has to attract the "kulture" deviants.

As far as the pinup contest goes, Mark had it right, it's just another form of entertainment. Regardless of any ones opion of what they looked liked, they at least had the nerve to getup on stage in front of a bunch of mostly guys hootin and hollarin at them. Don't take it too seriously.

The type of spectators that show up is unpredictable. It's like going to the fair, you never know but it's good people watching.

I must admit, I am disappointed in those that brought their own alcohol in, even if they put it in a cup to drink, but left their trash and bottles just laying on the pavement when they left. Like silvertonguedevil said we may be forced in to not having any alcohol come into our show. Not by us but by Cal Expo. We'll know more after their final report next week.

sinisterrodz..As far as our organization is concerned, I've noted at the beginning that we were over whelmed with entries to the show. We never expected to double the amount of cars we had last year. We ran out of registration cards at about 570. Your 10 bucks was then to park in the show rather than the parking lot.

Most shows expect a growth rate of between 10 to 20% every year. To double in size for both cars and spectators is very unusual. This won't happen again, we'll be ready for all of you next year.

Again thanks to everybody who has supported us and made this show something to look forward to every year.

PoorBoy Bruce....I know it's got to be hard to hear anything negative about something you work so hard at. I used to put together a car show in Oregon. Nothing even close to the size and magnitude of this one but I can still tell anyone here that it is frickin' ridiculous how much work it takes to put a car show together. It's months and months of organizing, getting sponsors on board, putting together trophies, t-shirts, flyers....blah blah blah. But the day of the show....INSANITY. You are running around trying to make sure cars are parking in straight lines, making sure people you hired (bands, food, vendors) are set up with power and are happy....this list goes on and on. There is SOOO much work to be done. I did it for three years and I'm not so sure I would do it again. I personally would like to stand up and give a round of applause to the Poorboys. They did everything they could to put together the most fun, kick*** show I've ever been to. Do I have a couple of complaints? Yes. But they have nothing to do with the Poorboys. It has to do with the ****heads that show up. Nothing you can do about that. There will be people that ***** no matter what. You just roll with the punches, make the few adjustments that make sense and try to improve on an already kick*** show.

Again, Poorboys, I lift my beer to you. You guys put together a hell of a party!! Nicely done.

It's not as hard as you might think Greg. After all the years of putting this show on, I've learned that you can't please everyone. Besides, if you really read everything here, there's only a couple of people who said they really didn't like the show. There is no such thing as a perfect show so a few complaints are always expected, and not taken personally.

You nailed it when you said that "It's months and months of organizing, getting sponsors on board, putting together trophies, t-shirts, flyers....blah blah blah. But the day of the show....INSANITY."
No matter how hard you try something always comes up that's unexpected. This year it was the shear number of cars and people. We do apologize to those that couldn't get in when we were told to shut off registration and hope that doesn't keep you from coming back next year.

Thanks to all of our guys that stepped up and to the other clubs and people who offered help in a time of need. For the most part everybody was very cool and had a good time. Like most big shows, there's always a few M***holes that don't care about anybody but themselfs. Too bad there isn't some way to weed them out before they enter the show.

i thought it was a great show. the only thing i liked better about last years show was the courtyard after party. the residence inn definately had some parking issues and yes, there were 2 different douchebags that were too lazy to disconnect their trailers and park side by side but altogether it was fun. real fun.

I totally understand not expecting that many cars to show up, but i still think there should have been more organization, like i said they just took my money and didnt say a damn thing to me no ok park here or some one will guide you where to park nothing then when i try to get in there are people every where and wont move so you can park quickley as possible so you wont ruin thier time or anyone else's. I do think in years past you guys have done a ****IN Awsome job at putting on a kick *** show, I just hope next year will be back to normal, as for the idiots that did bring in beer and leave a mess , you guys are right its not hard to pick up after yourself. come what are you guys just a bunch of kids? dont ruin it for the rest of us responsible people....just food for thought
