I need to figure out a way to get some air movement in my 51 Chevy when I am sitting at a light. I figure some sort of blower motor and a couple ducts. What have you guys used or seen that gets the job done without breaking the bank? Heat/cool isnt really necessary, just some air movement to take the edge off the heat...
here are some ideas... http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&source=hp&q=redneck+ac&btnG=Search+Images&gbv=1
Squirel has a sense of humor!!! That's funny. Umm, you gots any pictures of your '51 Chevy? Last I saw, they had big ass openings in the grill....
Not sure why you are having heating problems, I have a friend with a 52 with a 572crate motor that doesn't have an problems. Do you have headers, do you have airconditioning, and are you running a stock type fan or electric? How about some pictures.
I thought he was talking about inside the car, not under the hood. He didn't make it very clear did he?
Ya I am talking inside the car. It was perfectly clear in my head when I wrote it. You guys cant read minds?
You're on a hotrod site, you start a topic called Blower Motor Ideas and you expect us to think about a stupid fan in the car... Just crank open a window for whatevers sake will ya? Man, I had such high hopes when I clicked this topic... all down the drain now... But, to somewhat answer your question; You could take different routes to minimise the trafficlight stops...
You can leave out "probably' for sure there. Winter in Phoenix is just about the same as Summer in Holland.
I would consider prowling around some RV shops for the 12v fans. Or if you are lucky, check auction sites for something a bit more period correct. Unfortunately even a fan this next week isn't gonna do a whole lot trapped on the 10 in the afternoon. But if you go that route, I would try to find a way to direct wire it, instead of eating up the cigarette lighter. Ooops, we aren't allowed to smoke in Cali anymore, Cell phone charger outlet...
here ya go.. make yourself some ducting, cut in some (tasteful) vents good to go https://www.surpluscenter.com/sort.asp?UID=2009082511305483&catname=electric&keyword=EBSD
