Stopped by my friends shop today and took some pics. I don't get over there as often as I used to. Drag N' Shop 8205 Secura Way Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670-2117 - (562) 945-9976

Thanks! I was just thinking the other day that I hadn't seen much on the shop for a while.

I think it could be cool, but the headlight in the fender is the first thing that has to go.

Must be something else to show up for work with all that cool stuff ahead of you.

That model A is an old build. I have an early 60's Car Craft with that car pictured in the show coverage section.. It certainly is unusual.

This is what David Anthony Garcia messaged me about the Model A's history.

"Bill Metcalf from Washington. Built i believe in the 60s.won the detroit motorama in 63 64 was used in the 70s for Happy days. Fonzys dream rod".

CHOPMERC, Would you happen to be able to scan and post some of those pics on here? I have never seen them before. Or anyone else that can scan and post?

  21. Thanks for the pics Mike........I've been wanting to see more of that Chevy coupe since I caught a glimpse of it in the coverage of the shop party. I love what they did with the Vette tail lights.

Peterson's Custom Car Yearbook 1964... but I guess other period publications might have shown pics of this one as well...

Looks like it changed a little over the years. Headlights are now molded in... etc

Thanks Rikster for the older pic and info on that wild hot rod. I've only ever seen it the way it looks now.
