Hi Devin - welcome, I'm new to here too. I'm working on a 36 chevy truck. What are you doing with yours? Sub frame or all stock? Picked a color yet?

Hey, I'm building and open engine style HotRod. I've actually got a 4" dropped front axle in it, 283 SBC with a tri-power, homemade lake style headers, 4" chop, 6" channel, I shortened the bed 6" and I'm currently working on getting the rear suspension set up. I think I'm either going to paint it flat blue or primer grey. I should be getting some picture on here soon!

What are the plans for the one you're working on!?

That sounds very cool. This is my first hot rod, I used a camaro rear axle and sub frame with dropped spindles and shortened springs to get the ride height where I wanted it, no hood sides, 350 sbc, keeping the fenders on, white walls and smoothies with bullet centers and i too shortened the bed 6 inches. I'm going with John Deere flat black paint with red scallops and with my avatar painted on the side of the bed. I considered chopping and channelling too, but wasn't brave enough (yet). I should have it running soon and will also post some more pics when i can pull it out of the garage the first time.
