That's cool! You do have to wonder what "Sweet Baby James" really thought of it!

Until I saw TLB, I always thought JT was a little "fem" if you know what I mean. He and Dennis Wilson seemd like an odd pair, since Wilson just looked like trouble, and JT's songs gave off such a sensitive vibe. It's cool to see him sitting in Walt's car again, I'd sure like to know what he thought of it.

I think Dennis Wilson was something of a '70s James Dean: cool, calm, didn't give a rats ass what anyone else thought. A bad mother-f-ker, really... :D

Good shot. He has that same look that he had in parts of the movie. Makes you wonder what he is thinking. I think the line from dennis wilson, when james was going after laurie bird (the girl) he shouted (she's gonna burn you man.) I don't know why but I remember it the most??? you guys got any favorites one liners?

Come on...I know exactly what he's thinking..."Isn't it time to change the jets in the carburetor?"

  17. Now can we get the tool from the green coupe back so JT can say to him

"Make it 3 yards Motherfucker and we got an automobile race!"

Big BB fan, and I can tell you, Denny WAS trouble. He was an intense dude (someone posted he was a '70's James Dean - that's pretty accurate) - right down to his dealings with Charles Manson and crew. Died too early, but he lived the equivalent of many lives in 39 years.

Totally cool that JT is back in the seat. IIRC, wasn't one of the 2LBT cars used as Bob Falfa's '55 in American Graffiti?

  25. I had the oppertunity to hang out with James Taylor at Eric Clapton's guitar fest in "04.. He is a good guy.. Not an ounce of ego.. Bullshitted with me like he knew me.. I hope he was diggin' the '55

Not to thread jack, but yes, Denny was all man (only liked the ladies)...so you are right there.

About his drumming - he sucked at first, but got MUCH better. I've listened and taken apart their songs ad infinitum, he was no Neil Peart, but he developed well. He also became an ass kickin' song writer (although not on par with his bro Brian, he was quite good for someone with no musical background).

    Yeah, no doubt.

In '64, I drove out to LA to go to a car show at the old Great Western Showgrounds. I was walking through the show behind a guy with shoulder length hair. Keep in mind, the Beatles had only been out a couple of weeks and no one had long hair at all, but this guy's was way longer than theirs. About an hour later, the Beach Boys took the show stage and the long haired freak was up there banging on the drums.
