Length for 62 Mercury Monterey 4 door Drive Shaft?

Does anyone know the length for this drive shaft? I removed it today and it measures 66 inches from the back to front with everything still on it. I do not know if this is correct because there is a 3 inch extention welded in the center. I have only had the car for a couple months and just started tearing into her. I don't know if they extended it because a shorter ****** was put in or if the jack ***es extended it because they tried to drive it with a crooked rear end with the leaf spring broke free.

 

I have a 62 2 door Monterey and the drive shaft is 65" starting from the housing on U joint side but not including U joint to the tip of the Yoke.

The 2 door and 4 door's are the same body. I had a driveshaft in my 62 Monterey wagon that was possibly 1" longer equalling 66".

 

Thanks, I'll know more once I get the springs put back in & the rear end straight again.
