Went to a Ford racers auction today. Local dentist by the name of Recknagel is in ill health and was selling off a bunch of stuff.

Way back in 1970 I sold him an old '58 Panel truck. I went by last night to look around and Doc was sitting in the shop area and said, George your old panel is back in the corner.

Told the wife I wasn't going to let it sell for s**** and ended up with it. Not sure what the future holds for it, I just bought a '51 tudor project. I am thinking about selling the '63 Grand Prix to help fund both the new cars. I'll sleep on it. At least I saved it for the time being.

Other cars sold were a pretty solid old '46 coupe, small block w/ original driveline not running. A neat old '53 Victoria with frenched lights, and louvered hood. (Docs old car). A Big 4dr Lincoln. My pal Terry bought the '46 sedan shell.

Watch the cl***ifieds, I probably will be selling some stuff. lol

Hey atch, whadya thing Clarence II :)

Funny how people get attached to machines. I had one car I owned 3 different times over a 20 year period. It was almost 4 times but reality hit and it was too rusty by then.

Hey GV.... that's a 59.... you can tell by the square turnsignals, grille, and the dip in the hood front.

Seen you ballin up the tires at the drags, didn't get a chance to talk to you. Maybe net time.

It`s nice how everyone tells about these auctions AFTER they are over.

    BTW,that is a 1959...not a 1958.

Looks like some pretty solid old cars. Cool that you got your old Panel back!
That coupe does look really solid! Wouldn't mind having one of them someday...

Would you have driven to Oklahoma? And I always called it a '59 but I think the ***le says '58, front clip could have been replaced.

    That's a 52 Victoria not a 53. The headlights are Olds.

Evidently the '52 used to have an Olds w/ 3 dueces. Lot of work to bring it back but was a cool ride in its day. Should be again, the guy who got it looked like he was serious about owning it.

I didn't get a pic of it but it had a really old Honest Charlie decal in the wing window.

Some of the stuff that was sold wasn't listed on the sale bill, I found out Thursday evening. I have let people know around here when there is something I think they would be interested in.

Is this the truck you were telling me about that you used to haul your band's equipment around and the backseat wasn't bolted down?
