I think we'd only be interested in the KH high ground clearance accessory wheels produced in the late thirties and early forties not the ugly ass split rim wheels seen on milk trucks of the '40s and '50s.

  5. The 18" wheels used at Bonneville with Firestone 8:00 and 8:20 Indy tires came on Ford trucks as heavy duty options.
The key to the ID is a recess in the face, opposit the valve stem hole, probably for clearence on long stems.
I'll be interested in a pair if you can reproduce them.

  6. Finely somebody know's what the want

  7. OK...found a couple shots of the Old Crow Belly Tank. The recess can be seen on the rear wheel at about the 5:00 position. THere not the best photos, but it will put you on the right track. I will look for better shots to post.

We already have them. They are aluminum and centrifugal cast, and DOT approved. We have 18"x 4" and 18"x 6". They can be run on Bonneville cars.--TV

No, I don't go to bed early. My son and I have been working on these for two years now. We have gone through testing and changing, making sure they were just like the originals. We finally got it right and they will be out very soon. If you want to know price, please send me a message.--TV PS I was out ridding my bike. Sorry, we can install most bolt patterns.

Those appear to be optional Dodge truck high ground clearance wheels. 20" and someone on hamb said, or had, a pair of 18" to match. Plymouth cars had a similar HGC 20", but those did not have the vent holes like Dodge truck wheels.

  19. How about someone posting photos and info on the aluminum repro wheels for those who don't get TRJ.

The photo of the black wheel is what we're looking for. The recess in the face, adjacent to the valve stem and the shape of the slots are unique to these wheels.
    Bolt pattern is 5 on 5 1/2".

Yeah...but the wheels Bob posted are also rare and desirable as well....as long as they are 18" and not split rim. They allowed the salt racers who ran non-Ford rear axles the ability to run the used Indy tires that were needed for the higher speed being attained.

TV - did you have the ones being displayed in the vendor area at the LA Roadsters Fathers Day show a couple of years back? If so...they were nice then.

Yes...we had the wheels at the Roadster Show 2 years ago. We made a couple of changes to satisfy the DOT and get a legit safety rating. We are NOW finally ready to manufacture them.

Here is one of our centrifugally hypereutectic cast wheel next to the black original.

Looks good Tom. Much better than the original one you did. Can't wait to see them in person. Nice work.
