After my Dad p***ed a couple of months ago, my brothers and I went about cleaning up his backyard. He had a few model A frames and this one still had axles. I remember my Dad telling me years ago that they were rare old racing brakes. Not seeing them in years I had thought they were Kinmonts but after seeing them and comparing pictures I'm not sure what they are. I was hoping to use them on my T project. Gotta find out what and where to get rebuild parts.[IMG]

They are Lambert brakes. They were an accessory disc brake that was offered on early 50's Chryslers.

  4. Yep, they are Lambert disc brakes. I doubt you are going to find any parts for them. As I have had a really hard time over the last five years looking for parts for them as well. I do have some diagrams of how they work, PM me with your address and I will send you a copy if you want.

My dad worked with someone who had those on a town and country many years ago and had to convert them to regular drums due to parts availability,if the pads are decent you might be able to use them for awhile and just rebuild the hydraulics. They use two wheel cylinders on each wheel to operate and they look similar to the front wheel cylinders for the drum brakes.
