NOS ARDUN V8 60 heads on the Fordbarn ... for Sale ...

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Deuce Roadster, Aug 14, 2006.

  1. That is actually one of the members of the Hives, really nice guy, has a -32 roadster if i remember right!

  2. Actually there is probably more than one way to look at it. if you are an investor it kills the value to use them.
But on the other hand if you are a hot rodder, I'm not talking on the fringe here, but a really true died in the wool hot rodder then deep in your heart you know that it kills their value not to use them.

The current high bidder on these is also the current high bidder on the Lunar Lander. Looks like he is going to have to come up off of some more $$$ to get either one. Suppose he is planning on putting an Ardun 60 in the LL?

I don't know, I was watching them to buy also.

Maybe "amantoby" who's last two purchases were a 30.00 steering column collar & a 10.00 bicycle chain gaurd went outside ebay with him. :)

  6. The last minute flurry didn't happen and the reserve wasn't met so they're not gone.

Hope amantoby gets to spend more on teh Lander so we can see what the extra cash does for creativity on the next project.....

The listing was gone ... I could not access the listing before the auction was supposed to end. Their listing on Bid items was gone ... from eBay and I bid on them ... even their listing in " Items you did not win " is gone ... PULLED before the auction was to be over ...
I was going to watch the final little bit of time and they were GONE ... before the time ran out ...

I had to look on the HAMB for the eBay number ...

I just don't know why the auction ended early if they were not sold. Why stop it with a few hours to go? That's when the "last minute flurry" begins. Why not see what the public thinks they are worth? They do not have to be sold if they did not meet reserve, sooo what is to be gained by closeing the auction early? I suspect that there was an off line offer on the table.

Dont understand all the fuss. 1.It aint a flathead anymore .2.If you dont bulletproof the whole bottom end ,it WILL explode .3.If you want it so bad ,fly to Brazil ,where the poor locals can gladly drag an old Simca marley out of a swamp ,for mere pesos.wack on a set of ardun copy covers and VOILA ! .the whole deal for , I guess 5 grand ,includind airfares and freight .

  13. I mean no disrespect at all when I say this....but are you serious?

Point number 1......It aint a flathead anymore.

    Sometimes that's a good thing :)

Point number 2...... If you dont bulletproof the whole bottom end ,it WILL explode.

This just isn't true. Will "bulletproofing" the bottem help. Yes. Would it be a good idea...sure. Will the bottem end explode without this work being done....no.

Point number 3......If you want it so bad ,fly to Brazil ,where the poor locals can gladly drag an old Simca marley out of a swamp ,for mere pesos.wack on a set of ardun copy covers and VOILA ! .the whole deal for , I guess 5 grand ,includind airfares and freight

Ummmmmm no.....you'll have a Simca with bogus covers. :D

A personal note....this thread is 3 years old, thanks for bringing it back to life :)
