  6. Well, it could be better, but I'd think sad would be that it's now 6 inches tall on it's way to get recycled into about a dozen Hyundais.

How is it lost? It's right friggin' there!! get, it.....make it run.....restore it to it's former glory. Make it happen. I'm poor, but damn it, I know people with $$ that wouldn't let that car get destroyed. Make it happen.

i own it, but it's not for sale ...yet and no it's not going to recycling, but i won't have time to start on it for a few years, too many irons in the fire... but that's why i took it so it would'nt get crushed...chip

Lost Art, the car's name ( all custom cars should have a name). These are current (recent) pictures. The former beautiful custom car was burned and left for scrap....... and here it is.

Thanks for posting those sad photos Chip and Caddi...

It sure looks pretty bad. But I guess with enough Love, Time and replacement metal it can be saved.
It sure it worth it. A great custom.

  25. Was it burned on purpose, shop fire, natural disaster? I remember when it was in the Oakland Roadster show. The display had a manikin done up as a car hop. She was enhanced if you know what I mean. Car had a straight 8 with 8 Strombergs. Jerry Shahagin (spelling?) did the interior, He fucked up a lot of good cars, but everybody thought he did good work. He used a lot of plywood. I think it was Frank Livingston, he had a Merc, 50 I think, Shahagin did his interior, the headliner was plywood. It fell down on Frank as he was driving the car. He almost crashed. Frank wasn't impressed. Dean

Chip I'm glad to see you talk Benny out of that car , you sure have allot of work ahead of you now, maybe you need a Bash/Thrash to get it headed down that path.
And WTF ??? newbie ?? shit haven't you been here even longer then Jim (48HEMI, oldcarglassguy, and newest handle NONAME)??
    Good luck with it.

  30. Sheesh- a long way back. This thing needs a HAMB thrash. It'd be cool if it scrubbed up half as nice as it was.
Did'nt we see this car in Rod & Custom in the '90's ?
