thanks guys. and yes there will be a white line to divide the color. might use striping tape though...
hell yeh looks good man ! i think i may run astros on mine now, cant wait to see it all put back together
Looks great Yaril,,,,maybe we will see it at Billetproof FL this spring? Thanks for posting the progress, love the old Caddys.
those supremes on the back with the small white wall look pretty good, you should do that for all 4...but I'm sure once you put the steelies on and the wide white walls I'll change my mind and think that looks better lol
thank you all! glad yall like it, it looks cool in person. totally differnt car from what he had before! Vikki we will be at Billetproof for sure! btw not to confuse you all but the supreme is off my VW Squareback, its my spare i simply put on to paint the steeles and keep the car a roller. so no supremes, its getting the brown wheels wide whites and front caps. here are a couple more pics... trim and white line to follow soon.
If you wanna make the stripe really easy to can order a roll of "fill in the line" tape from FINESSE in Queens New york. They sell it in all thicknesses for around $20. Just slap it on, drag a striping brush over it and pull it off! The # is 718- 939-1258. Talk to Pepe
Caddy is back from interior shop. my cousin did a great job as usual! owner Marcy gave me some freedom to chose colors and materials. so a white perforated headliner with brown pipe at every bow to break it up, brown vinyl and corduroy for the seats and a brown carpet. the door panels are his creation in diamond plate. i had my cousin follow the exact Caddy patterns. its quite impressive in person... while at the interior shop we got all the side spears, hood spear plated and bought new hubcaps. i was only able to put 1 spear (gotta buy new clips) but its really coming together. i cant wait to stripe the white line!
thanks, sorry no supremes. i need to know where i can purchase some clips to install the spears / trim???
been jumping from project to project too much. going to focus on wrapping this one up. its getting closer to done... installed front and rear windows, what a tedious job! trim clips go first, then rubber, then glass in rubber, then bead lock, then stainless. took a long time to do both front and rear but they are in and look great: found some spear clips at a local body supply store. had the owner paint the insides of the spears for added protection and began installing trim: almost all trim back on car secured. also got the visor installed and plenty misc things done: began striping the brown edge. the white really helps! this car is really starting to look like something. it will be very "photogenic" but its not perfect or close to it. mostly curb appeal and a fun driver.
Looks good! I'm a fan of brown/tan and VW's as well! I'd love to get an early Caddy like this some day.
thanks! 90% of the white striping is done. and 90% of the interior is done. this care is almost ready.
not entirely finished, but enough to be driven around. cruised it around over the weekend. really only need 3 or 4 small things to wrap it up.
