After 3 years, off and on, building this truck, it finally runs and drives! I got it running the day before the HAMB drags and trailered it there, was planning on driving it around there I unloaded from the trailer and turned the wheel and the cowl steering mount wasn't secure enough to keep it up so every time I turned the wheel to the right, the wheel dropped down and pinned my leg to the door!! Sooooo needles to say, it didn't move from that spot. Well I got it home and fabed up another mounting point to keep the wheel from dropping in my lap, fixed a few things I had missed or forgotten and drove it all over my 3 acre lot yesterday and took some pics. Since I took so long to finish it, I have 2 other projects now that I really want to finish and this truck will probably have to go to fund them I am going to get it out on the road today, see how it drives around the side streets and Monday get it licensed and insured and give it a real shack down cruise. I will try to post a video of it running, it sounds awesome!
It looks really nice out in the sun. I saw you pull in at the drags but never got a chance to check it out up close.
Thanks guys! I really haven't come up with a price yet. I won't be cheap though, Lots of $$ spent on it and lots of my worthless time as well
It's very cool Tom. You did a good job on it. Is the pinstriping on the inside some work done by my old pal Chaddilac?
I had a cool Base drum pedal in it for a while but it kept binding up the linkage so I stole the spoon from the kitchen
Wow!!! Dang it!!! Now I need to get the coupe done!!!! Crap!!!! I like your photos too... new camera??
A little cruise down to Dallas next weekend for the Invasion would be good for ya!! The truck looks good, love the details. Rear bumper is a cool touch.
Great looking little truck. On a side note I hope you put a hub cap on that front drivers side spindle.
Man, that is great! Your truck looks like a blast to drive, I 2nd the video request. Super job, you should have a big smile for a while now! Dan
