Took my mom for a ride in the roadster

Great pics! Wish my mom was still around to go for a ride in the old aluminum boat my son and I just restored and named after her. She would have loved it. My hot rod... I'm not so sure about tho. lol

Hey that's what moms are for.................. to bring a smile to your face without even trying.

 

My mum hasn't visited since I got mine on the road (about a fortnight ago). I think I'll struggle to keep her out of it.

She's 69 in December and still the biggest motorhead in my family. Still secretary of my old speedway club. I can't wait to give her a scare.

Hey, the shower cap works for Billy Gibbons (though I never 'got it' on him-looks too hot to wear).

Thanks for sharing your story. Sounds like mom wants to do this again! Enjoy every minute. Reminds me of taking my dad out one day, car was 4.5 inches off the ground. He had a hard time getting in but getting out was a bigger challenge. Ended up crawling out on his hands and knees we were laughing so hard we were crying. He always was ready to go in whatever I showed up in (mom too, not as brave though had to behave). Enjoy them while you have them, you would probably be surprised how many would love to take a ride with you. Maybe your kids will take you for a ride someday too.

 

That's cool, you can get your mom to ride in your car, my 30 year old daughter won't even sit in my hot rod, she's afraid of it (sitting still with the engine OFF!).

 

Everybody should take their Mom for a Roadster Ride...!

Mine has riden in all my Hot Rods and she just beamed when she would tell her friends that she rode in her sons fast car that he built!

We have a winner!

 

I took my coupe to a friends wedding dance a few weeks back, met my parents there. They had both seen my A but neither of them had ever been in it. I'm not sure how many gl***es of wine it took my mom to decided that she wanted to take the 25-30 minute ride back into town, but it must have been a few because it wasn't that warm out! So here we are, "blasting" down the road at 80km/h. Only gl*** is the windshield, top hasn't been filled on the coupe yet, everything is rattling and making noise and theres my mom. Sitting there in her Sunday finest, my little sister's Misfits sweater on, blanket over her legs. Content. There I am, freezing my *** off, trying to make out the words she's saying to me haha.

When we got back Dad asked her if she was half froze yet, she said that she'd descovered heat from the exhaust coming through the transmition hole. She just put her blanket over it and voila, instant heater.

My mom rocks!

So does yours, I love the shower cap!
