I am 2 - 3 hours NW of there but from what I know it is a typical college town. Big school, few bars, not much else.
I am going to be inspecting on a 42" pipeline that will furnish fuel for our traditional hotrods. I'll be there for 3 months then move north until we get to Myrtlre Beach. I want to hook up with some Hambers in the area. I'll pm you guys . Thanks TP
Well if you will be in sweet georgia around labor day weekend you should try to come up to dixie fried, or if not keep your eyes peeled for runwhat ya brung mid sept. in Fort valley area, paradise dragway. Lotta fun at both and lots of ga hambers
Ive been living in statesboro for the past year. Im a sophmore at Gerogia Southern University and studyin mechanical engineering. yes, of course its gonna be hot,..its south georgia and yes there are millions of gnats but you kinda get used to them. as far as the town itself goes, its a pretty typical college town. college kids all over the place, at least around campus, and a couple bars. the county (bulloch county) is a dry county though. you can buy beer but not liquor. thats what the county line is for . theres a water park thats pretty family oriented. i think its pretty cool. without the college, statesboro wouldnt really have much to see or do. i like it though because you can drive 15 miles and feel like youre in the middle of absolutely nowhere. that and theres also a local 1/8th mile dragstrip about 20 miles away. somethin to do on the weekends. other than humidity, heat, and gnats, statesboro isnt that bad of a place.
