  6. When are you heading this way???

    Mooneyes typically has a monthly show out back of their shop. Sept is el Camino cars. Typical Saturday night near Yokohama one can find the drifters / posers / stereo-heads / vans / etc..... hanging out before the cops break them up, only to return a couple of hours later.

    Some trouble can be found I'm sure..

    Yeah, I was gonna suggest Yokohama, as well. It can be a decent turnout of vehicles there.

    Check the Church of Choppers or No Future Tokyo blogs- there are occasionally some RAD pics of old cars- If you are looking to check that scene out, I bet a comment post up to one of the Japan contributors might yield you some mischief ;)

    I am staying in Shinjuku my friend lives in Shibuya and one in tokai. Oct 2-12 in the best western. I might stay a night or 2 in Tokai. I wonder how far away tokai is from Tokyo. If i have a fun time i will come back for mooneyes. Vancouver B.C. is closed for work during the 2010 Olympic games. I want to see all kinds of biks and cars.

  12. Tokai is a good ways away from Tokyo.

    Sounds like you may have someone who can steer you in correct direction.. At least Tokyo / Yokohama area.. Mooneyes is a place to go just to talk cars at least. They always have a handful of cars there, and most all the boys in the warehouse have some nice looking old school bikes they ride to work. The guys there most all speak English and are very receptive to conversations....

    I would like to get up a handfull of guys together for the December Moon show. Comet, if still in country was planning on attending. Another another member from Ausie-land said he may make it..

    If I was gonna spend 10 days in the **** capital of the entire free world (AKA ShiBOOOOOOya) There would be more to see than my eyes could take in......and NONE of it would be Amelican cars!!!!!

    Yokohama is worth the trip even without Mooneyes!
    But if you wanna go, take the train past Yokohama to the end of the line, then pay 210 yen for the #8 bus that leaves from under the bridge and get off at the 6th stop (Honmoku)

    Easy:

    Check out Nash from Burnout;

    ....and my mate Hiroki is the b*** player for HellRacer, and knows ALL the dirtiest biker bars in Buya!

    If you want to see some really incredible fabrication and design work, check out some of the tuner shops while you are there. I've only seen them in print, but some of these places will absolutely floor you with the level of craftsmanship/insanity. I'm sure some of the locals can point you in the right direction.
