Dude you deserved the trophy at thrashing the rear end and getting it back together to get it into the show and drive it the next day at the drags. That is one killer car you got there and i love your plans on leaving it as is.

Hey Cliffy, I found a band that fits in perfectly with the vibe of the show. See if they will fly over. Let me know if I am correct. I think we need a band there that can do this.

We have lots of time until next year...closer to the show the better anyway! Keeps it fresh in everyone's mind for next year. If you can get me the show in the raw file, I will try to get it on youtube and on our website.

I got my car club newsletter from August and it says this:
SYMCO RAT ROD SHOW- The Manawa area rat rod show was a big success with 200 or so rat rods participating. Club member Paul took home a best of show trophy for his rodent ride.
I guess I need to educate some people. I could understand if they were talking about my Model A, but the Fiat a rat rod?????????? WTF???????????

 

What car club was this? We will black ball them.

Yeah, I am running out as well. I printed 6,000 the day before the pileup. We handed out 3,000 in Morris. Would have been more but I left half of them back at the hotel. Never thought I would hand out so many. Last year it took me all day to hand out 2500. This year it took Dean and Jason about two hours to hand out almost 3,000!

I think I have about 1,000 left. Time for revision #2 on the cards.

 

I was just giving you a hard time Paul! But we will beat them with a large stick if they show up to the Shakedown. LOL Then buy them a beer,

I am gearing up to work on 2010 show stuff and have booked a few bands already. Keep an eye out for a 2010 show post coming in the next month or so....lots of new fun additions to the show!!!

If anyone is interested, there is a paypal link to register for next year already.

All participants need a $10 weekend wristband. Get your car in another $10...need a camp space, another $10....need a swap space, nother $10....so if you come by yourself, camp and bring your hot rod, $30 for the weekend. Very inexpensive, and fun weekend!!
You can also camp in your swap space if you want.

The guy who brought it is a customer of mine. He is a pretty cool guy but made me do a bunch of BS **** to his van a few months ago. I lost my *** on it and it was a ton of screwing around....good thing I treated him right!!!

I am sorry, Chris. I was exhausted, typed that at 2:19am a couple days after the show. It was much more harsh than I meant it to be. I am an idiot. I ate some time on our project, wasn't much. I am never excited about rework. You didn't "make" me do anything and it wasn't BS ****. We had a little screwing around with the exhaust on the van, I had no problem the way it turned out. I used poor choice of words like usual and I hope you can accept my apology. We enjoy you stopping by the shop and hope you will in the future. We were just talking about your hot rod project the other day actually. Again, I am sorry.
