That is crazy, and you have not lost touch, in my eye's anyway. Even though many of us are feeling the economic "crunch" so to speak, there's still a lot of people out there that have no clue what it's like not to have money.................
I think someone escaped from barret jackson. But if there is a need for 39 or 40 ford rag top parts, I am going to find some ...John
Someone is smarter than I am, that doesn't look like more than $100 worth of parts, if that to me?????
There is a 40 ragtop in the PNW that was built starting with not much more than that but that price is nuts. <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">
How do you know it was really sold for that? I know of, and see a lot of things that "sold" for a price to somehow wind back up for sale or just a stupid joke. I would have to the money change hands to believe this one.
I've always wanted to bring a pile of parts like that to a car show and enter it in the "unfinished" cl***. That pretty well exemplifies "unfinished", no?
naa if its got a ***le, you could do a hard top conversion and use this for the windshield post and rear package toss the rest. It will all wash out. Money in the bank
It's Ebay. Dont get too excited. 1st...... see if it changes hands for 5K. I'll bet it dont. Nothing like a face to face and a hand shake.
I could see $5K for that. Some of you have lost perspective. You give me that pile of parts, a clean coupe body and a few weekends, and I'll have a convertible ready to build. If that stack of parts went to a '57 Chevy, it'd bring at least that. Then someone would weld it into a hardtop body and they'd be all set. You guys are high on crack if you think that stuff is only worth $100. With a coupe trunklid and some donor quarters, you could build a convert out of a sedan with those parts.
