that's awesome. it becomes rather apparent when someone says it ' out loud,' huh? i'll have to find a reason to give it a try.

That's my first thought too. I like the mirror, but on that car it feels like it should be halfway up the front fender. It's a very European look, the holes for the mirrors on my Healey are like 6" away from the headlights.

Loving the dash and headliner, what was the plans for paint colors?

    Nads,

the Capri looks kool. It seems like 4 forever since we were over. Must get across again soon.

  9. Spent yesterday blocking and sanding with The Wacky Packy. Even roped young Miles into doing some of the sanding. Almost ready for a final coat of clear. Car will be really killer when done, especially after the interior is fully installed. Should be quite the unique ride on the streets of O-town.

This car is realy going to be something when it's done. I seen it a week ago and was truly amazed at how far it has come.

Am i glad to see this on here!!!!
I love those "bubbletop" capris, in the uk i remember there was a couple of very neat custom ones, and if the body will match that superb interior its gonna be as kool as those! if not better.
There are many nice european cars w/ tons of potential, keep up the great work, lets think outta the box!!!

Hey Nads...Heres a couple of shots I took from last year of a very cool Consul Capri Custom from the U.K...not many of these left over here. Yours is looking great so far...So cool to hear you lot from over there getting excited about U.K. Fords!...... I love 'em too, but over here the majority are obsessed with your tin.

I've also got a 57 MK2 Consul Convertible, original LHD import. The body is in perfect rust free condition, but it's a disassembled ground up resto job, it'll get done some time in the distant future or sold.

never seen one before. great looking car, I too, dig that steering wheel. The roof is kind of kinda of a cross between a bubbletop and a Marlin to me, and I love those cars. I think the mirror is too big too. Progress is looking good.

Ditch the wheels an its a nice car.Hate those big rims, make anything look stopid and ugly!
I know what you mean mate, its a shame that many guys dont understand the potential of many european cars. I agree american cars are nice and big, but we also have many nice cars and mostly many nice and powerful engines, that are left to rot or in the hands of some restorer that will never get the potential out of it. End of rant!

The roof boomerang actually predates the Marlin, but who knows who thought of it first.
Gonna try and hunt down some trim clips at the Webster swap meet this Sunday.

Good pics finally, the roof's buffed, the rest of the car's next, then all the trim and interior.
