....... good jack stands. Some of the cheapo ones are dog shit. Inspect the pivots on the latch piece. Sometimes all that holds you up is a 1/2 cent roll pin

    Hi Everyone,
I bought a 7000 lb jack at Sams Club at Independence, MO in 2005, before I moved here to "No-where land". It cost $79 and has a speedy lift feature. Goes up fast but normal decent. I pulled it out and shot a couple photos of it. Dusty and not used in a few months. No problems with it at all, except it is a bit of overkill for my normal usage. Top lift is 22", but one can carefully add a block to the top.. I use 2x8 blocks. Made in China, but what isn't anymore. My Delco 2 ton cherry picker is Chinese and even Homart and Lincoln arc torches are Chinese now too. Hope these photos display ok. Just my 2 cents...duane

I had a Craftsman fail after one year. Looked real nice when I bought it, paid around $170.... I also have the Michelin one that was posted above, it failed as well. I just need a decent freakin' jack. Seems so simple.

I am using AC Hydraulic floor jack, model DK20HLQ. It goes from 3.15" to 31.2". It is rated for 2 ton. Wasn't cheap but I should never need to buy another one. I have has this one for 10 years now and has worked flawlessly. Great for low vehicles and lifted trucks and such.

    BTW, they are Danish built.

    OMEGA 2 ton Low Profile
gets under some pretty low cars, and it's long so it'll reach up to rear ends, and xmembers no problem.

went out and measured it for you.
2 1/2 inches tall in the front
    about 20 inches jacked up
roughly 38 inches from the front of the jack to the handle
`hope that helps...i can't remember what i paid for it but i think it was around 300 plus shipping (which killed me cause of my location.).
