I've tried the usual suspects-Rally America-Paulsen-Wheel Vintiques-Newstalgia-Coker-etc. with no luck.

Thanks for the prompt replys guys. I'm in the early planning stages of a 34 3 window that I'd like to be an homage to **** Patterson's bad *** A coupe.
I'm exploring wheel options now so I'll keep you posted. I would need 5x4.5"

As far as when they appeared, the picture posted above is from Hot Rod mag in 1966 and I believe the car was built a couple of years prior.

I would love to get a hold of a set myself. I screwed up a few years ago and didn't buy a set I found at a swap meet. I won't even say how much they were....

  5. I bought a set of 15 x 7 chrome slots recently for $40.00! Chevy pattern...stopped at a house with a "Junk for sale" sign out front and there they were!

Most of the chrome slots were actually steel mags and those aren't overly difficult to find used. Well, unless you need good chrome :)

You're probably gonna have to get a set of regular slots dipped to get anything useable. Tough to find good chrome wheels of any sort once they're ten years old.

ck in 1969 I bought a set of Rocket steel slotted wheels. You may want to look at American Racing wheels. They have a wheel called Ansen Sprint. Hope this helps a little.

nos pieces aren't hard to find, but you usually don't get much choice in size. the best solution is find a matching set in the right bolt pattern and have jimmy fix 'em up...

Yep, looks like that's the plan should I pursue this wheel option.

Thanks to all for the input!
