Been a gear-head since the 60's when mom bought me my first hot rod magazine. I have mainly built tri 5 chevys. I had fun with a couple of muscle cars, even souped up a mid 80's camaro, man that car was fun in the turns. But I've always loved little coupes, just the thought of driving a hotrod with a rowdy small block, going hard through the gears is just the coolest. Side note, I always thought that the '55 chevy (same car in Two Lane Blacktop) in American Graffiti should have won the race against Alfalfa. I purchased a 1931 chevy 5 window coupe about 8 months ago. It was one of those cars that was too good to be true, Mel had owned the hotrod since he was a kid. The car was all there, no major rust, and Mel threw in a core sbc with all the t*******s including a *****'n Offy 6 pack. Right now the 327 is ready to go back together, the wood work is frick'n challenging but it's all good fun. cheers
Post some pics when you get the chance. I sold this termite nest last year to someone that needed parts.
I had a 31 Tudor Woodpile back in the 80's, go back with square tubing. "Wood is for furniture"! Wait till you start trying to get those door lined-up, OMG.
