Nice to see you jump on it so fast, ****s that you had to though. On the bright side, it needed to be done anyway
****ERS! Dude, you obviously pulled it out far enough to drive. Why bother with all the rest, just fill the thing, sand and paint. That way there is so much filler in there that next time it happens it takes out the 'Hitter', another win for the 'Hittee'. Doc.
That is a damn good looking car. Sorry to hear some ***hole decided that he was too chicken **** to admit to his own wrong doing. Glad you got it fixed so fast though.
That ****s but it looks like you not only fixed it but fixed it right this time. I'd just about bet that someone in the neighborhood has an 88 and up GM full sized pickup with the left corner of the rear bumper skinned up more than a bit. <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">
All I gotta say is , they definetly knew they hit your car.. and I bet theirs was more ****ed up than yours. and people are *** holes
That ****s, happens all the time around here, people simply aren't honest or responsible. Sorry to hear about it, but damn you did an amazing job fixing it so quick! Things like this always make me second guess if I want my truck to be in a candy or not, can't fix the paint that easy.
Hey Flop, 'looks like if it wern't for bad luck you wouldn't have no luck at all! Years ago, I sold a guy a complete paint job and did some other work on another vehicle of his when the rig I was driving poped outa gear , rolled back and taged a Jap pick up 4X4 ,parked in a lot. It was jus a small dent, 'bout the size of a poker chip, but I thought what if the shoe were on the other foot? I couldn't find the owner and left a note with my number and sayin' how sorry I was. 'bout an hour later I get a call and the guy couldn't beleve I left a note! I told him "take it anywhere ya wan't to get it fixed or I can fix it for him". he brought it by the shop and I said "why don't I shoot the complete quarter since a blend will one day fade?" He said "cool, how much to repair and shoot the whole thing?" We both walked away a winner that day! On bumpin' out damage on a fender with a head or tail lamp in them, I'ts usually a good idea to remove the bulb if you're going to have to hit the panel much. If the original impact didn't brake the filliment in the lamp, the pounding will, sometimes! The ol'1157 bulbs were infamous for this! Did the ''Tin Indian'' get pimped off for fun money? I guess thats the chance we take driving our pride and joy some people dont respect what we do and only see an old car but on the bright side you arent one to be kept down you fixed the dent and moved on it would still have been nice for someone to own up and be responsible .And yes thats a sweet car.
That ****s, but it is entirely possible that the person that did it, didn't realize it. For example, I drive a 3/4 ton Dodge diesel truck. I backed up to my normal parking spot in front of my garage per usual. Except this time I was not paying attention enough and was at an angle and apparently went back a little further than normal. Didn't even feel the truck touch my garage door (double sided steel - insulated) and push it back about 6 inches. Stayed on the track and creased the hell out of it.....kinda like your fender. Good job on the repair.
thanks guys i bet it had to be a biger box truck or sumthin with a life gate to put the dent in where it was ... wasnt from a parellel parker. me and my buddy talked about fixin it . he did the same with his 38 chevy that he wrecked ya gotta get a big start on it when you are still pissed. get your anger out on the dent and its all down hill from there should just put 4 feet of bondo like ya said doc its rough drivin the car most days in the city i knew it would happen one day. thats why i hate riding my motorcycle. **** YOU 31 WHITEY how do you kno where i was!!!!!!!!!!!!1 were you drivin that truck!!!!!!hahahahahahaha no cameras but its done with now..karma will get em I still got the ol poncho pimpin gotta make some money at the moment on some customer stuff the little side biz is starting to take off thanks alot again guys some how the hamb makes ya feel 100 times better after ya post your work where people actually appreciate it!! more pics when we get it in primer then block block then some paint
man what a bummer....from one chevy coupe owner to another, great job on the body work and I like the car....
id agree , definatly a step bumper hit from the left side of the bumper. on the bright side you did a better repair than the last guys, so you at least improved your car. id be keepin my eyes peeled for trucks that frequent that eatery, and hit up his insurance if you see it. skull
had my car hit right after it was fixed from another hit! it was at work during the winter and we ended up taking a cast of the tire tracks. months went by and after checking every vehicle who knows how many times one night this restored "cornbinder" is sitting in the lot with everybody looking at it and as luck would have it someone remembered seeing it briefly last winter. armed with all the proof i confronted the owner and didn't want any issues at work and cut me a check for the repairs. turns out he had been one of my biggest thorns as a maint man. we had a understanding from that time on to call the other guy and if he was busy "call his mom" instead of me because i was busy!
