It's difficult to identify with the phrase "newbie" after 63 years in L.A.,CA. Old phart sounds more appropriate, so there! First car was a '48 Ford with suicide rear doors. Had to rebuild the flat head 6 truck engine after a week of torturing the thing. Ran alright after that. Had a 58 chevy wagon back in the 70's that was pretty cool. Now my daily driver is a '66 Buick Le Sabre 400 w/ 340/400TH that has around 160,000 actual on the odometer but has been parked outside for the majority of it's 43 years. Also own '66 Rambler American 2 door w/ 232 cu. in. st. 6 that I'm working on getting back on the road, first with it's 6 cyl. to outlast the gas price gouging in CA and then to swallow a 350 4 bolt main Chevy. from the mid 70's. Also have a '71 Sedan Deville and '71 Fleetwood that will probably take up all my retirement time when and if I last that long. I got nothin' special, I just love cars. I keep the old one's running myself cause they got no computers to have to deal with. This looks like a great place to learn how to my old Detroit trinkets. Thanks, Buck Buick.
