new flathead project

me and my dad was over at our ford guys house the other day paying for the 62 galaxy he just bought then he made us a deal on this pu we couldnt p*** up the truck has had all the rust replaced damn good running flathead just couldnt p*** it up

its a 48 and no i think im gonna hold onto it

 

got plans on chopping top 4 or 5 in dropped axle, channeling it probaly bout the same(probaly gonna end up z ing th frame so i'll have floor room) shortnin the wheelbase and the bed a couple of inchs,no fenders you no typical hot rod

 

So..............what your saying is that your going to take a neat old survivor Ford pickup and build a belly****on RAT ROD out of it that won't be worth **** in a few years when this insane "chopthe****outofitandmakeitasclosetoundriveableandunpracticleaspossiblewhileconningyourinsuranceagentintoinsuringitbyshowinghimapictureofarestoredstocker" segment of the hobby goes the way of the dinosaur leaving in it's wake a mountain of ruined cl***ic metal that can be sold to China to build guns and ships that will be used to kill americans. Did I miss anything?

Missed your parting statement about "typical hot rod". You haven't been into this for very long have you? What you've described is chronicled in my above post. Typical?...........not by a long shot.

Now I was thinking of chopping the top 7 inches, taking off the fenders, C notching the cab and then lots of flat black...

 

i appreciate everybodys opinion on keeping it stock but stock is not me as for u fab32 wut are u some sort of hot rod fairy that flys around and tells everyone wut to do with their rides i respect you cause your a senior member on here but i dont like the way you come at me and tell me im building a rat out of it i dont know wut your definition of a rat is but mine is thrown together unsafe peices of **** and thats not what i build
