Hey everybody! Just getting ready to start my 1932 ford 5-window build. I bought it from a good friend of our who had it chopped 2" by the kennedy bro's. I like the chop, just want to do it more. I would like to see if anybody has pictures of 1932's with a big chop. I know there arent many but still would like to see. Thanks guys!

well for only being 19 years old, I need input on how much, I was thinkin a good 5-6" total chop. I want to look different then any other 1932 5 window out there. Thanks, im trying to make this a good car. Finally acquired some RARE parts. I can still never believe how I found them...

From what I can see in the photo, it sure looks like a well done chop as it is. It also looks like a killer body. Judging by that great collection of parts you have, you're on your way to having a very distintive car even if you don't lower the lid further. :)

  10. How tall are you? Are you going to be comfortable in a heavily chopped car?

leave it alone, just build it and drive it,i would have thought a 2" chop was pretty rare??,but if you do chop it more keep the bits you cut out, just in case you want to change it back

This has the makings for a fantstic car! Don't undo all of the great work the Kennedy bros have already done.

Leave it alone. More isn't always better! The chop on your car looks great, but I've seen lots with a heavier chop that look squished. Build it drive it, have fun with it, then decide if you want more.

Here's one of my father's projects. Don't recall how much it was cut, other than the windshield is as tall as a pop can.

Here is a just finished 5 window with a 4 inch chop. I am 6' 1" and just fit in the car. I am 70 so I don't bend as easy. I would vote to leave alone anything the Kennedy boys have done. If you want a really hammered one they are around. You can sell yours to the old guys with the big stomachs. I am a candidate.

Where does a 19 year old find the gold you have?

Do it as you wish - but that's a super cool chop. The pile of parts are pretty sweet too.

I am extremly grateful for everything that I have and try to remind myself that it all could be gone tomorrow. As for "Luck", I'm not sure that word and my 32 body go hand and hand. Perhaps after I find the quarters I'll say lucky! Thank you for the compliment though. I hope I can do them justice!!!!

Well, if your 19 years old I don't forsee you taking any advice that will go counter to what you've already posted. Nothing wrong with that, life's lessons sometimes have to be learned first hand. That way you can p*** them along when you get older so the new crop of 19 year olds can ignore them all over again. At 65 you can imagine how I learned that last bit of wisdom.
Now, from a guy that has sat in and looked at over a hundred chopped '32 5w's (actually quite easy to do when you start at age 18 and live as long as I have) here's my take. If your going to run fenders the 2" chop that you already have is perfect. If your going fenderless 3 1/2" to 4" looks mighty good. Anything more than 4" and you'll regret it every time you get in regardless of how cool it looks from the outside. Actually, you might not regret it right off but after the chiopractor bills start piling up you will.:)
Finally, seeing as how it already has a great chop (2") I'd leave it alone and trade someone who has a deeper chop if it isn't enough for you.
As to your statement making yours look different than anything that's been done before...............good luck. If you pull that one off you'll be listed in the greatest hundred '32's ever built when they do the 100th anniversary of the Deuce.:cool:

Mike, Get her all together and running. Drive it for awhile-later on you can always mess with chopping it more.
