Just a few quick shots I snagged with my cell phone: I really liked this chopped '51. Not big on continental kits but I loved the other mods. This '48 Chevy was super clean. Just because I'm a sucker for a nicely chopped shoebox.
yeah,,,i can imagine how it would seem strange, , ,you did a beautiful job on her, , , one of my favorite cars there, , , i think another Beatnik owns it now, correct?

That 48 chevy is the repainted Harold Olsen car from quite a few years ago The color has been changed, Not a big fan of green The rootbeer I think looked better but to each his or her own. Check the eye ball in the center of the steering wheel just so he can keep an eye on the car That's what EYE heard. Never met him but heard he was a real nice guy . "RIP HAROLD It still looks good" FRANK
I see "the fish" sectioned and finned shoebox is getting some love and attention, that car belonged to my high school shop teacher who bought it in the 60's and kept it until he retired just a few years ago. I wonder who owns it now. It's never been the prettiest car, but it is a real-deal full-on custom car from the heyday of full-on customs.
yeah, i heard it was a survivor,,i know ive seen it in one of my "little books", you are right, it is a little strange looking, but i loved that car,,
Stacy's shots came out great! Here are some of my favs. Ran into some guy with a Wisconsin plate that read H.A.M.B so I figured I'd flag him down. Then he proceeded to follow me all around the show in his awesome Chevy... We kept getting harassed whioe cruising. This guy in a panel painted Dodge passed us on the left because he felt we were going too slow! We somehow ran over a small child and proceeded to drag him until someone noticed and was able to flag us down. His name was Little-Johnny, we're so sorry... Then some guy named Chip came up behind the Caddy, threw everyone off it and drew something in black sharpie on the decklid! Some pinstriper painted this girls arm. It was madness I tell you! On to the cars though. I have alot of doubles that were already posted so I'll weed them out and post my favs. This '55 Merc had some of the best paint that I've ever seen on it. He was parked under trees but we were lucky enough to see it while a few rays of sun were hitting it. All I can say is AWESOME! This '55 Chevy was also one of my favs. And lastly to round out my top 3, this '52 Ford was perfect!
Thanx for the pix Jim... One of these first days I AM going to get to Lead East...been wanting to for many years...and I have a sister living in Massachusetts...so the whole east coast trip would be an excuse to see my sis...and I hear the leaves in New England are starting to change about this time of year...
