was over at my brother-in-laws house today and he mentions this car he can barely see in a barn close by so we go to investigate and im blown away from what we find i dont know the exact year plymouth but this is the most solid car ive ever seen no rot anywhere i wiped away some of the 4in of dust thats on it and the chome still shiny the emblem on the hoodstill shines.trying to get in touch with the owner check out the pics they are a little ****py took with phone
Nice find! Its a 1937 Plymouth flat back sedan. They made a lot fewer of those than the trunk style sedans. If you get it please keep it Mopar powered. Good Luck!!
I wouldn't mind having that!! Hope somebody does something with it, its a shame to see it just sit there. Michael
oh yea if i get it its gonna stay all original i'll try to get it running clean it up nd drive it for a little while till i get some other stuff done then get on it my brother-in-law knows the guy he said the guy sells everything he owns a car lot and a junk yard and he said everything he has is for sale so its a matter of price
Nice find. Looks to be in good shape for a rust belt car. Good luck and keep us informed as to your progress.
Awesome find! I was a little sceptical at the 4in of dust, but WOW that's a lot of dust. In Wyoming the wind blows through the best built barns, so dust like that doesn't settle. Hope you get it!
Wow, when did Alabama become part of the RUST BELT? Nice find. I got some of the nicest most rustfree cars in my life in Alabama junkyards and backyards.
good luck with buying it. i know that car has been sitting there for SEVERAL years. i've lived in the area for all my life and i think that car has been there atleast 10-15 of them.
there might be a good reason for the dust, I think he's using it to cover rust, be careful, don't pay too much
Sitting that long on a dirt floor garage can spell trouble. Check the floor out really well. My guess is you will find it's not as solid as the roof & fenders.
Not to mention posting pictures on the internet without the owners permission. We need to be careful about not getting caught up in the excitement and try to be respectful of other folks property. Since his brother knows who owns the barn. Would it have too much trouble to ask permission first? I know if it was my property i would be ticked off and i wouldnt sell it to him for any amount. thats exactly what I was thinking. maybe I'm weird, but I was taught early thats a romper room no-no.
no we didnt just go in the guys barn with no permission im not that disrespectful we asked a guy that works for him that runs the junk yard he said it wuld be fine and i did ask him if it was ok to take some pics of it and i layed on the stinky dirt covered floor and looked at the pans from what i could see and feel all was well
so what did the pans look like?. trunk area, heck, you might have found a pretty solid car needing very little bottom work at all.
You must have gotten them years ago.Everything I find is rusted out.Acid soil and humidity eats them up,at least it does in North Alabama.
hell yeah that's a nice car. i hope the guy doesn't think it's worth a million dollars or anything. hope you get it.
Decatur, Alabama...wow, I must've been within a couple miles of that car several times in my life...LoL, Glad you found it, and good luck if ya get it!
