Appears a good time was had by all! Wish it had worked out that the race and Dixie Fried were on different days. Lots of neat pix. I keep hoping that next year maybe it'll work out. No way is AMS gonna change from the Sun. night before Labor Day date, cause they had the biggest crowd they've had in a long time. From my spot in the infield I can see all the stands real well and they were more nearly full than I've seen them in years. Lots of people arrived in the infield on Fri. and stayed till Mon. That's what we had planned in my group, but when my son's wife had a ruptured appendix a couple of weeks ago it sorta knocked those plans for a loop and my son and a friend and former co-worker that yall should meet @ RWYB'09 just went for the Sun. night race and returned home. Still had a great time, especially watching the gang of drunks next to us totally wreck the top of a U-Haul van body, plus the top of the van cab and top of the hood while parked next to us. So I can just hope that next year Dixie Fried will return to Sat & Sun or another weekend. Really makes me sad that I couldn't make both. Dave
