I know there were Chrysler 4-2bbl intakes available back in the day. Were any 4-2bbl intakes ever made for 56 or 57 Dodge Hemis? I'll check with Hot heads, but thought someone on the HAMB might know the history. Thanks, Hemi 325
Have you looked through Scootermcrads Hemi tech thread? Pretty sure there is a thread on the intakes and such.
Thrashing, I checked it out. Not much mentioned about Dodges. I know 3-2bbls are available, and 2-4bbl. But nothing on 4-2bl's. Probably means there were none. I'll keep my eyes open. Thanks, Hemi325
I have a Weiand "Mag Star" 6x2 Dual-Log Manifold for a Dodge Hemi/Poly! Because it's a "Log" style manifold, it will fit both the short and tall deck Dodge motor! Not For Sale...But I just thought I'd let you know that one existed!
Not to be critical, but why would you be interested in such an intake? The nice thing about the 3-deuce manifold, is you can use the ends as secondaries only. With 4-deuce you'll need all of them functioning with idle circuits. It's a bit of work to get them synchronized (I still remember weekends with my old MGB's...). I'm a little amazed at people who have a bunch of 2-bbl carbs on top of their engine, that looks like a waiter serving drinks at an Irish bar... But, again, I'm not critical, just not of a like mind.
Instead of running the middle 1 all the time, you run the middle 2, if it is an open plenum like the Cragar. In the case of a twin, it's no worse than a closed plenum Wieand.
