G'day everyone, My name is Stewart from Sydney Australia. I've been a member of HAMB since 2006 but never did get around to doing the intro... I own a stock 1961 FB Holden sedan and a 1962 EK Holden station sedan (wagon). Both were owned by my Grandad. It took me about 6 months of searching back in 2001 to track the EK down out the back of a pub at Wallerawang. The EK rebuild began back in 2004 and will be 'hotted up' 1960's style with triple carbs, lumpy cam, headers, lowered, spats and a few custom touches. If you're interested to see the EK rebuild check out http://www.fbekholden.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=576&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 One day I'd love to build my own AV8 Tudor. I'm here to learn and to enjoy traditional rodding. Thanks for having me! regards Stewart The FB... The EK...
Thanks B***fire. Yeah I can't wait to get the wagon back on the road - I love those longroofs. The FB and the EK are pretty much the same car. The EK had a few 'enhancement's over the FB - in particular it was the first Holden to offer an auto transmission option and was also widely exported as a LHD - a few made their way to Hawaii. There's much friendly rivalry between FB and EK owners here in OZ...each determined to prove their particular model is better...all tongue in cheek though...
Thanks mate. From your pics you can't be too far from where I am...south west Sydney somewhere? Good to see the EJ made rat rod day...complete with a 'shifter'.... I didn't make it this year. Good luck on your Model A plans...it sounds like a similar plan to mine...one day!
Yeah not far from you. Out at blacktown. Thanks mate, yeah I just got there. Haha yah abit of a custom touch now just have to get it registered.
Hi Len, You've got the 53 chev custom... saw the pics on the FB EK Forum. I like your 'art' on Thommos van...say g'day to him for me next time you see him...
