Looks like fun. I have to ask, do they have a speed limit on the track?

Don't let it stop ya! Were you planning on the EXACT same color??

Hmm, honestly I don't recall seeing it posted anywhere.
...and that's all I have to say about speed on the track :D

Great shots.....and the track is crazy with the "rake" and driving at the top of it.

Only if you drive a "rail dragster" on the track.....or an HA/GR......

  11. Hey Dude, great pictures, but I have to ask about the trip on the track, as I'm going to the GoodGuys show in the Pocono's later this month. Did you have to sign up ahead of time for the track? Did you have to wait in line very long? How many laps were you able to do? Do you need seat belts?

    Thanks in advance.

With all the car shows in K.C Labor Day weekend is this the higher end big money show? From all the cars i see in these pics. I see all high dollar cars,I thought I would like to someday come up to this show. But i don't think any off my cars would be welcome!

Thanks for posting the pictures. I went Saturday & Sunday and helped out on their model car & pedal car show. Didn't get to look at most of the cars till Sunday & many had left for the drive home. Still had a fun time though.

Goodguys shows are wide open. Everything from high dollar muscle cars & street rods to bone stockers & daily drivers. There's always something neat to look at in my opinion.

Thanks for the pics. I did the track cruise at charlotte a few times. Kinda makes you wonder about having 4 1/2" wheels and 145 tires going into turn 3 at about 100 mph. They try to keep the speed to around 70 but you know boys will be boys. Good times.

It's close enough that I think that's the color. If that's not it, it's damn close.

Would love to know exactly what color that is.

The color is a 2003 Nissan under hood color. It was originaly a flat color. We shot a test panel then cleared it. I had it scanned and it was an exact match with Duponts Spectra colors #136s if I remember correctly. Then I had it converted to single stage polyurathane,by Pro Spray.
I tell everyboby its Pond Scum Green :D

Yeah, man I love that little Anglia. Awesome car! I think the 'Halibrands' might be a new set of Real Rodders wheels with the coating/finish on them that looks like polished magnesium...

Yeah, you don't realize just how steep the banking is until you are on the track! No wonder those cars can go so fast around it.

I don't think you need seat belts, since they didn't check for them. We waited in line for about 15 minutes, but I'm sure it varies from track-to-track and depends on the number of cars in line. We were able to make two laps both times we went out there. All you need to do is ask for a track 'pass' (piece of paper) for the cruise, when you are in the registration tent.

Yeah, I also remember first seeing that Merc at the same Americruise! It looks exactly the same now - awesome car, and a nice, refreshing, different way to build a Merc.
