For those in the area that would be intrested I recieved the following e-mail:
The Chaparral 2 will be driven Thursday, September 10th around 5:30 p.m. at The Petroleum Museum. The Chaparral 2 will run for approximately 10-20 minutes in the front circle. The running of the Chaparrals is part of the routine maintenance to keep the cars in running condition.

Word on the street is that Jim Hall will be driving!

Please enter through the Visitor Center entrance which is east of the Museum’s entrance. (The Museum entrance will be closed off.) Please feel free to come early and walk back to the garage to see it getting prepped for the drive. If you have any questions call Ronnie Low at 432-528-9999.

Please check your e-mail before you come to be sure we are still a go. If you do NOT hear from me, we ARE running!
Please feel free to forward this e-mail to any interested persons you know.

When they ran the ****er car, they were a little late getting started, but drove it around the parking lot for about 20 minutes. I think it is great that the cars are being maintained as drivable and not just parked.

For those who do not know the museum is just west of Hwy 349 on the north service road of I-20
