I want to get started on my ch***is for my coupe but I've never done kickups before and I'm not sure how much I should do front and rear to get my desired height. I'd like it to sit like the one in this picture, if not a little higher. What I want is for the top of the rear wheels to sit about even with the top of the trunk. In the rear i'm running 35 ford bars with a 40 ford rear spring, and the front just the usual dropped axle sitting under the frame, not suicide. Does anyone know what the kickup front and rear should be? Or maybe attach picture of your T with the information?

There isnt really a set amount for a particular car. Just mock-up one end with wheels set your body on how much you want it chaneled and work from there. Here is a pic of my T frame, front is drop axle, spring in front, 2" drop spring with stock A crossmember. Rear is stock A spring and crossmember with 9 1/2 Z, but it still sits kinda high. hope this helps, good luck.

Check the pics in the speedway catalog for their 26-27 frame.Used one on channeled 27 and tires were even with deck lid... no pics, sorry. May get some ideas though.

  4. mine is just stepped in the front with a suicide front end and straight axle. i would guess a model a cross member and dropped axle and reverse leaf spring would get you close to where i am. the rear is kicked up 11 inches with a 40 front spring under the rear cross member. 11 is about as high as i could go without hitting the underside of the rear quarters. oh it also has a 4 inch channel. the rear can be where ever you need it to have enough clearence between the frame and the axle, just mount a spring accordingly. i added a picture so you can sort of get where it ended up for me

    good luck

i would love to see more options on this....I was planning on a 4" front kick and 6" rear kick on a model a frame using the model a rear spring relocated to the rear of the axle and a 4 inch drop axle in the front on my coupe. Hoping that that brings me low enough....though i dont want my car stupid low either.
