I'm jumping on the gloss black bandwagon. Every car I've ever painted or had painted (okay besides one) has been done that way, it just looks good on everything. Just make sure the bodywork is straight.

my dad does body and paint and always says, "do it right or paint it white"

I think you'd have a rat rod, potentially ruining a good start on your car, chase away the real women who see your pin-up and probably just need a few fake bullet hole decals to be into the Austin Powers class. And you don't get to paint bombs and "Rising Suns" on your plane unless you earned them. PS: THAT war is over.

Paint it satin black. But that's just MTC.

    Ugh.
I say get your "timeline's" correct....

The WW2 thing works with bias-ply blackwalls and a FULL HOOD if you aint runnin' a FLATTY
Unless you are ging for "KING RAT ROD 'hero'"???

But if you were you'd have RED WHEELS and RADIAL WHITES, right?

    Otherwise I say paint it
    "Puke Green"

    :D

I am going to paint it in rememberance of my grandpa that fought in WW2 as navigator in a B-24. I Do think he earned it.

  8. Sounds to me like you needed it.

Perhaps you should paint it a nice modern color, to go with that nice modern mill.

WWII themes have been beaten to death.

in my opinion, which, you asked for. fyi.

Snake 9t9 "Sports coupes were three windows...." technically correct. I should have said, maybe, all steel-topped coupes are 5 window.

"And by quoting me your point is????" Can't paint it like a 3 window if there aren't any. Although now, I concede that you could paint it like a Sport Coupe.

Make sure you paint the intake manifold and valve covers to match. Oh and the bellhousing and frame and wheels and steering wheel and keychain. It is also a must tha you and you significant other have shirts that match the color you choose also.

  12. Any color as long as you like it and it's shiny.

Here's another vote for pink, you know, to match your vagina.

Edit, Don't forget the neon green IROC decals.

Sport Coupes were Sport Coupes. other than a few prototypes there were no 3 window Model A's. referring to your Model A coupe as a 5 window makes you look like a noob.

  22. OK have you read all the responses? What color do you want to paint it? You definately don't need our approval and its a coupe so it won't take a lot of paint to change it when you decide you didn't like it the first time.

In going with the military theme, how about air force gray n the star n stripes or dark blue navy theme ?

Or maybe, one of those cool warplane camouflage jobs where it looks like ski from the ground up and looks like ground from above?

Please pick a hot rod color. But most of all, ignore all of us and paint your car whatever you like.

Why don't you paint it the same color the car was that the engine came out of. You don't want the motor to feel left out. since that sick rat rod you built won't feel at home anywhere with that motor in it, the paint job won't make up for that eyesore.
