Ok, I'm jealous of seeing the 'Craigslist Score!' threads that talk about how they went to look at a sewing machine, and found a blown Ardun attached to a vintage Indy car for $8. So here's my humble $25 find. A Selectaire AC underdash unit out of a 58 Fairlane retractable. It's dirty, a few little chrome pimples are popping up, but all the vents and ****ons are intact, everything turns without any problems, the fins on the rear cooler aren't all beat to hell, and the hoses were disconnected, not cut. I know it's not everything for the AC, but I was pretty happy with it. *Disregard the hairy*** monkey arm in the picture, that's not part of it*
OH! I thought you scored a "hairy-*** monkey arm",LOL..... Great score, fidget! My dad had one of those in our Chrysler when I was a kid.
Under dash is the only way to go wiht the old cars. There efficient as can be and I have never seen one blow a tube in the evaporator and its because its all copper .That will last forever. You scored big time.
speaking of CL Links.. I KNOW one of you here on HAMB would kill to have this.. (wouldn't post if it wasn't so cool) http://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/cto/1365615709.html
Thanks guys! I had to crop half that pelt covered arm out of the picture. My 3 year old confuses me with the dog sometimes.
