Nice photoshop. I considered doing the ful fadeaway but to follow the natural arc of the front fenders the fade ends too low. To do like you have shoppped here the front fenders need to be reworked from the center of the wheel opening back, or you have a dip at the door gap.
Here is a photo of Jimmy Summers installing one of his Fade Away fenders on a 46-48 Chevy Coupe.... It looks like the extensions starts at the door, but I know what you are saying about the downwards movement of the fender shape. Not sure if I have a photo of one of the extended fenders in bare metal to see how this was done...
A cheaper, and easier way would be to find some longer door fender pieces from a 46-49 Pontiac... like used on this Chevy... Photo by Thinnman

Rik- The Summers panels appear to carry the natural arc off the top of the fender then start curving back up slightly. If I did the fade aways I would prefer to carry the arch all the way back. The Pontiac extensions do look good but but the front fenders on these Chevys already make the rear of the car seem week. Maybe the Pontiac extensions with the back fenders lengthened forward like I have been playing around with would work. Maybe someone could shop this for me. I will stick up a pic with an outline of what I have been messing with. Thanks for all the great comments everyone, really appreciated.
Hmm.. I have to say that I dont really like that shape at all... It takes away from the natural taildragging flow to me... but that is only personal. It immediately remind me of Joe Bailon's Miss Elegance... ANd although I do like that car. I never cared for its rear fender shape. I liked it like this a lot better... Btw here is a clone that Joe is/was building.. it shows Pontiac? fenders and how he is going to extend them from the center of the wheel opening.
I am undecided on this fender shape as well. I do not like Bailon's fenders at all. Tucker influence? I would like to see it shopped with my shape and the pontiac extensions with the trailing end of the extensions raked at the same angle as my b posts and rear fender front. I just have a feeling. One thing I never noticed on Bailon's car was the cut off rockers and the rolled under fenders. Makes me think.
I too was thinking of the fade away fenders when I saw the side profile pic. Nice chop Gary! You da man.
I haven't seen too many of those year Chevys that I like but you've done a terrific job on this one, it looks great!
Count me in the fade-away crowd. I'm glad Rik posted the Caddy fendered one, because I was going to look for it. I once saw a very nice Chevy fade, done with a split Chevy hood. Flowed perfectly. If you have an extra, you may want to examine the possibility. Oh. BTW, Killer Kar!
Actually Rik, that's a pretty nice shape - and very unique. Maybe if the front fenders ended in a mirror image of that same shape? Anyways...beautiful car so far. Really love the rear bumper/overrider combo and the tailights.
