I found some similar posts on internet music, but I thought I would let everyone know about this place. It's called Pandora and it's at pandora.com. It's a site that you can visit or register for free. You just pick the genre of music or you can create your own station with a particular type of music. For example, I typed in Chuck Berry and it creates a whole station with Chuck Berry style music. If you select the "oldies genre" you can select sub categories within it such as doo wop, bubble gum pop etc...While listening to the music you can give a song thumbs up or thumbs down rating. Meaning it will never play a song you don't like and will try to play more songs similar to your taste. Technology rules. It's a cool site and I listen to it oftem while I'm on the Hamb. Check it out!

I've listened to them for years.

They actually care if you are in the USA?

I did not know about the 40 hour a month thing for Pandora. Another good one is at http://tropicalglen.com/ which I think I found at Night Prowlers website. It's free and pretty good. The sound quality is not as good as Pandora. You can select a year though like 1961.

    casper,
Last.fm is my choice. They offer comparable artists alongside your first choice and the selection is good!
Dunno about about time constraints on listening tho?

With motorbilly 365 live you can select the rockabilly/psychobilly genre of your choice over several free stations or register to choose even more. It will play for acouple of hours then you just need to let it know you are still there and it plays on again.
    Great tunes for the shed.

Pandora can't have a 40 hour/month rule I listen to it more than that in a work week. Don't know how I survived without it at work. I find that if your station starts to digress a little just delete the station and start a new one the same way. I'm actually lookin at getting a mobile router and cellular internet service so I can do the Ipod my hot rod thing in my 37. A 3mm hole in the dash will be less visible than a big ol radio.

If you keep up witht he like and dislike box on each song/artist, it sorts things out to your exact taste. Wouldn't have osme of the cd's I have now if it didn't help out with the Jimmy Vauhnn station,

Do a google search for Anchor Free. It is an IP s****ing tool that allows you to watch us content from outside the US.

I use to watch Pinks all Out, be warned though it really slows your connection down so unless you are on broadband i would forget it.

Try this http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=creator:"New Riders of the Purple Sage" for Internet Archives of live concert recordings of the New Riders Of The Purple Sage. Great jam band. Kind of like the C&W version of the Greatful Dead. For being from the tapers in the audience, the sound quality is very good. Also 15 pages of "Dead" concerts. Check out" Fifteen days under the Hood" by the New Riders.
