Went over to scope DirtyT's new crib last night...ended up taking half his pocket change in an impromptu game of poker as we drank PBRs and Black Labels...

Got me to thinking it'd be cool to have a weekly "poker night" for Detroit area HAMBers...bring beer and a handfull of change to someone's house one night a week and drink some brews, talk cars and play cards for coins! Cool way to pass the "shitty weather months" in Da Mitten!

(It'd be a real help to have someone show up who actually knows how to play and bet...we were just making the rules up as we went last night...kinda like a game of "Calvinball"...I'm sure we fucked it all up, but I came out ahead, so it's cool!!!)

I can bring cheap vintage beer from my secret ghetto party store source if anyone else cares to partake of such fine labels as Blatz, Schlitz, Black Label, Old Milwaukee...and there's a Hungry Howies by Dirty's house that sells PBR in bottles and cans, too!

Any takers? Let's set it up! [IMG]

Wish I lived closer, I would love to play. I'm addicted to Texas Hold'em

  3. Can I still play even if I have no money? [IMG]

I'd probley be interested in getting together maybe once a month. Also, I'd perfer doing it on a Saturday nite so I don't have to worry about getting up for work the next day. Lets throw ideas around at Dirty's party.

That sounds like a killer idea... but can we bet in $.25 increments? [IMG]

and even setting empty beer cans (with a 10 cent return on 'em!) in when needed to see a raise!

That has to be quite possibly one of the saddest things I've ever heard.

Only someone in Michigan, or another state that has the returnable "law", can appreciate that statement. Just yesterday I put a huge plastic bag in my truck that has over $30 worth of returnable cans and bottles....... let the games begin boys! [IMG]
