I don't mean to hijack anyones thread but I just heard from the owner of US 36 Raceway that the Nostalgia Super Stockers will NOT be there this Saturday. Too much attrition.

It wouldn't have been on the schedule, it was a re-scheduling of the August race that was rained out. Believe me I'm not in any way, shape, or form bashing the Nostalgia Super Stockers. They were and are my favorite event at the track even though I'm just a spectator now. Mike (the track owner) used to give the NSS guys grief that if I gave his other special events the build up I gave their appearances he'd be rich. Ask Dave Campbell or Larry Quinn. Love the Super Stockers! Especially the Pontiacs!

Faded Memories ran great at GoodGuys in Bowling Green. My personal best times of 10.46 and 10.48. Really hooking hard and put on a great show. What a fun ride. Unload, warm up, race, refuel...repeat...load up, go home.

    Way to go!!!

It looks like the 348/409 group will be going to Thompson Ohio for the first weekend in June next year. Last year we had 28 cars racing, mostly NSS cars like yours. It would be great if you could make it.

Some great shots by the talented staff of Photosportsusa while racing at Beech Bend in Bowling Green.

In the third shot, note the rear quarter panel of Faded Memories in the far lane.

Faded Memories is such a treat to drive. VERY consistant and always puts on a great show for the Chevy fans.

Ironically, as popular as Chevys are, Faded Memories is the only real regular running with the NostalgicSuperStock group. Most are Mopars.

Thanks to the polishing skills of Earl Schieb, I put down my best times ever.

forgot to mention, Faded Memories remains unbeaten in the past four outings. But that is what match-racing is all about. Two evenly matched cars and it depends on the driver skills and the cars dependability. It is a blast to run with the guys from NSS, Inc. check them out at www.nostalgiasuperstock.com

That 63 got hydraulics under it?..................:D

Just kidding, I was there and saw it do that at B.G.
also saw the driver of the willys do some bird watching when it made its p***:D
Those 2 things were the most memorable part of the drag racing to me.
I didnt realize at the time that not only did the same guy own both cars but was also the famous bobwop on here;)

What times were you turning? Havana is a cool strip. It still has that small town local drag strip feel to it. It's been a few years, but I've run there a few times, myself.

Cool car, cooler story. Last time I saw it run was at IRP, Goodguys 2006... I know that was before you got it, but here's a pic taken from the stands that year:
