Its nice to see a chop by someone that has the eye AND the skill set to do it correctly. Nice.

The tin work from the tail lights into the quarters. Think horizontal fin.

Bryan, your Chev is looking great. I'm hesitant to chop my own coupe because of how round the original roof line is, but your car as well as Jesus Valencias shows how well it can turn out. Your chop flows nicely with that hardtop treatment.

Every time I see it, it just gets better. Looks amazing! Cheers

  19. that is insane....Keep up the great work pal...

  20. Thanks Flop...good to hear from ya. I still need to section that BADONKATRUNK like you did...now I finally have the lines I need to figure out how much...

    Actually, I started here...

It doesn't look that bad in the pics, but it was pretty haggard. The bumper, splashpan, and grill were all smashed...interior was shot...235 and PG rear were TIRED (although I drove it for another year before swapping the drive-train)...and plenty of rust repair.

Thanks RS.....I recall a bad-***, chopped Chevy coupe in your collection at one time...

    Happy 50th man.

I'd guess you're hesitant 'cause there's an ***load of proof that coupe chops can go very wrong....but there's plenty of proof that they can work too. We all know Flop's killer Poncho and if you haven't seen it, check out the '50 Blue Collar Guy's working on....that'll go down in the books as one of the greats, I'm sure. PM me if you want pics of good and bad....I've got a bunch.

    Thanks again guys.

    Bryan

They are '49 or '50 Ford tailights, but he had to weld in the Ford sheetmetal to get the "windsplits" that they mount to. Chevy rear fenders are just smooth back there.
It's a cl***ic early '50s modification and always looks good to me.
