My buddy Dave and I went out to look at this guys stuff that was his dad's, who past away not long ago. He was a freak for Model A and T stuff. We had no idea what we were getting into until we walked through the door. This is just a small part of what has ac***ulated in this guys shop over the years. Almost entirely early Model T and A parts, cars, and anything you could imagine.
This HAS to be today's modern equivalent of "El Dorado" (refernce to Spanish explorers seeking gold). The MOTHER LODE.
don't be surprised if in todays economic situation you see more of this. old collectors dying off and the next generation selling the stuff so fast so they don't have to be burdened with it. i can hear it now "so how much will you give me for all this junk?" to some ***hole that only see's $$$ signs instead of helping preserve a hobby.
Thats un-Fing beliveable Now thats what I call a retirement porgram that works, if you live long enough to sell it all my ba*****t is empty...well ..it could be
Very cool. I show my wife pictures like this when she complains that I'm ac***alating too much stuff. Thanks for the help!
I work with a guy with a stash like that. went over to buy some 16 inch wires and walked into the first building and was like holy s***.
I showed my wife the picture, she just asked what I was freaking out about and kept walking. I need a moment alone.
Your buddys dad was a true hero. Its guys like him, that help keep this tradition alive without breaking the bank.
I've see a couple spots like that around here... If you need something ask them- they're usually pretty helpful!
