Anyone going to the Vintiques Rod Run & Campout in Watertown, SD Sep. 11-13?

So FalconMan and I are thinking about going to the 30th annual Vintiques Car Club Rod Run & Campout in Watertown, South Dakota Sep. 11-13th. Have any of you been to this event before? Anyone going this year?

It's number 30, I think I have been to about 20 of them. One of the best in this part of the country. I always say " Hot Rod is spoken there" !! I be there with my `40 Chevy ragtop cause I need to haul the wife and a 17 year old who gets it ( Fomocokid ). Can't fit 3 into the roadster.

 

Bull, I just saw the thread on your sedan and it looks like it won't be ready for the Vintiques, what would you driving to the event?

thats where i was born and raised....used to go every year to that show with my dad.

 

I wouldn't miss it - one of my favorite runs of the year.

 

I'm really sorry I couldn't make it this year because I heard it was the biggest and best ever with over 400 really nice hot rods and customs there. And the weather was great too. Anyone got any pics to post?

I just have too much going on right now because I am getting my house cleaned out and ready to sell because I was offered a buyout to retire early from work. I can't wait to Hot Rod full time!

 

I am hoping someone goes and takes pictures, or I should say went and took pictures as the event has p***ed. Photos anyone? I was just in Watertown rescuing a 56 Plymouth Suburban 2-dr wagon, Ron I bought it from has an ***kickin 58 Ford sedan delivery, it has a Canadian Ford grille and is a burgandy beauty. Hoping for some images. ~Sololobo~

WEnt there and did that. Born and raised in Watertown and an old Vintiques member. I have 150+ pics and will send what I can to anyone wanting some. It was the best show yet. This is my 25th ear going to the show. Started going to the shows with my dat when I was 12.

 

Could you please send me some of these pictures. My wife took the Camera and forgot the Battery in the charger. Well she had real good intentions.

Was a pretty good turn out. found out we were on the garage tour the morning before. got to clean shop it could always use a good cleaning
