A local fella was auctioning off his 40 year collection of model T's and A's over the weekend and I scored this cool little T roadster super cheap. I guess about 10 years ago he bought the T sight unseen and the seller misrepresented the condition. He decided to do a restoration and removed the engine and ******....which he left outside his shop and a few days later someone stole them. He was so disgusted he had a pal hoist the roadster onto the roof and it's been there ever since. Everything's there except the said parts. Pete-
It's actually in Needham M***. A lot of stuff went CHEAP! I think it was due to the super ****py weather....pouring all day. A really nice original driver 27 tudor sedan went for 3K along with a 23 T touring. Folks were after gas pumps and signs. Pete-
Pope, I was hoping you could come and help...ill p*** it down piece by piece and you could re-***emble it on the ground.....lol
Yea, there's still a **** load of stuff hidden in garages. think im going to put a model A front and rear under it and do some type of 4 banger, remove the top windshield and chop the top.....maybe Z the frame a tad. Pete-
Weird. I rode by that not too long ago & thought, "Someone should take that down and..." Congrats Pete! I can't wait to see what you do with it!
let gravity help get it down ... save your back .. A LITTLE FLUBBER FROM THAT NUTTY PROFFESSER WILL HELP picture the 3 stooges with a blanket trying to catch it fire man style .. yelling "jump" then laying blanket on the ground..and taking giant backward steps away any type of semi type tow truck should be able to boom it down ez .. and it will be AAA appproved!
It would make a great photo shoot for a crane company. "We do all kinds of crane work" The company putting on the auction should have called a crane company and then the newspaper and had them cover taking it off the roof, and it would have made the local papers and then had more traffic for the auction.
