    hey,
like to know or see in wich way the doors can be opened from a car or truck.
you all know the suiccide way, i saw a hot rod wich had a "gullwing" way
but are there rods or trucks (cl***ics) that have those vertical door (lambo.. ahhumm pardon my language) door openers
better yet who has pic's (if there are ones)

    see ya

This is a TRADITIONAL Rod & Custom site. therefore NO Gullwings, Lambo or other retarded door openings

Hot rod doors open one of three ways:

    1. Forward.
    2. Backwards.
    3. Not.

  5. A 34 roadster with Lambo doors would be so cool!! NOT.

lol, heaven forbid anyone do anything remotely radically custom.
like they didn't do in the late 50's, and 60's

build what you want, slide em on a track like a van side door, flip em back wards, Kustom is only limited by your imagination.... or the people around you who don't like it, cant do it, cant dream it up, and try to talk you out of it because of it

  11. I generally open them the way the factory intended me to. Unless the car's so rotty the door falls off in my hands. That's about as custom as I get.

Don't forget the ever-popular "disappearing door" on the Kaiser Darrin!

waw i did know i would get som reaction lol..
yeah the car in the pic with that door opening to the roof (gulwing) that one i was referring about.
but then again is kustom building or hot roding all about kreating a car that is in your mind and is what you like?
just want to know if there is anyone out there that has done something like that.
is suicide or welded shut just the only way?
    think not.

    see ya

    I go by the rule

keep it the way they were when the car was built.

    but thats just me

  18. There is a very fine line between cool and clever custom mods and terribly tacky custom mods.

I can't believe this thread is still alive.. I saw it yesterday and figured it would last an hour or two

  23. There was a late model something at the Street Machine National in Little Rock last week end that had those lamo doors. They drove around all day with em standing straight up. Looked funny as hell.
