I've been in kansas hangin with jeff for the last few days and what a blast its been! the pics of the chevy really dont do it justice!! it is absolutely gorgeous!! we drove to oklahoma yesterday to meet the upholsterer , i followed jeff, he drove his caddy and i drove the chevy. it was the first real drive, 100 miles. what an amazing feeling to fly down the highway at 70 mph in something i built!! and to roll right behing the caddy....BAD***!! The interior is gonna beautiful, look up tom heath upholstery, you'll see!! ian
That's right bro!! I thought we were trailering the car and Jeff goes, hell no you're driving bro! We only had 1 little problem, the distributor wasnt bolted down all the way so a little oil spill and redid the timing on the side of the road. that's it!! she drove great and hauls ***, for a custom!! i took so many pics so far chris, can't wait to show you!! Midwest people are the NICEST people you'll ever meet!! I LOVE IT here!! see you soon bro!!
Great job on the build, I just checked out your Myspace. God I know you from somewhere...anyways, congrats on the paint, it looks killer

Ian, dropped by Toms this morning to check out the car in person, both you and Jeff did a great job, and Tom is excited to get started on it. It was great meeting you at the resturant, hope the trip home is smooth. Catch you down the road, GV
PLEASE don't cut anything short on our account. I certainly wouldn't give up an afternoon in Santa Barbara to meet us.
Hey GV! It was good meeting you, thanx a lot for the kind words. Im so happy Tom is stoked on the car , what an amazing man!! Such talent, yet so humble. I got home last night and i'm happy to see my wife, but i'm a little sad to be gone. I love kansas!! And jeff and his family are really something, i love them so much!! Anyways , see you on the road!! Ian HAHA!!
I got back from Kansas last night and i thought i would share some pics. I love the midwest so much.....F@#$!k L.A.!! Don't get me wrong L.A. is nice and i have some good friends here, but Kansas and Oklahoma is is something else!! People are just so nice and simple, they're the real deal!! And i made an amazing friend in this whole process!! Jeff is a true friend!! He picked me up in the Caddy and i even got to drive it!! Then went to meet some friends of his in Wichita got some good cajun food and headed to his shop in Ark City. I teared up like a little girl when i saw my car... it was a very emotional moment for sure. I was just blown away how beautiful she is!! The pics really don't do it justice !! Morning shot in Jeff's car port After some coffee we took the hot rod on a little road trip to this secret salvage yard for some missing parts on the chevy.... windshield and rear window garnish and stuff!!
We thought this Chapel was just great!! Road kill!! Jeff helping fix my top window pivot. I sure learned a lot from Jeff!! Getting ready for the first road trip... 100 miles to Enid,Oklahoma. it was really nerve racking but i really enjoyed the first drive. She hauls *** for sure!! we got some pretty heavy rain but it only lasted 5 minutes. I gotta get heat, a/c . The window was so foggy!! Here we are at HEATH UPHOLSTERY in Enid. Tom is a very well accomplished upholsterer from Antioch, Ca who move to Okie 3 year ago. He's worked for some of the best Custom car builders and I'm extremely flattered that he was excited about working on the chevy!! He's gonna do a great job!! He even took all of us to lunch to say thank you for bringing the car to him.Tom's in the green shirt!! I really wasnt planning on doing the trunk and he insisted that it needs to be finished!!
Garnish molding Jeff is painting. They are the same color as the top of the dash and steering wheel. Grocery shopping in the HOT ROD. Jeff is quite the cook, he made some amazing CHILI for a little get together that night with some of his friends. Jeff had these tear drop knobs made especially for my car to match the dash he painted. all the chrome is getting redone. So that's it for now!! Im sad to be gone!! Ian
looks like a great time, , , the car is perfection, , should be a real stunner with the interior,,,,,,,congratulations!!!
Man that is unreal!!! I can't believe that this car is almost finished but on the same hand I am really happy for you. I can't wait to see it in person perhaps at GNRS or The Roundup. I think it this point you can put some new rubber on it though. Do you have plans for wheel covers?
The car looks great. Can't wait to see the interior. I really need to visit the mid west now. I have heard nothing but good. Thanks for the pics.
Than you soooo much guys!! As far as wheels and tires, Firestone 670-15 www and some really cool hubcabs with a little Jeff touch on them. And chrome OEM for the back.
