There is going to be a big Ford sale in Brookline, MA (boston area) on Sept, 26 2009. Eighteen 1932 Fords some solid unrestored others totally mint with some great mods. Several have fully hopped up four bangers including two with REM DOHC motors (serial numbers 001 and 002!). Also a sweet 49 Merc, a couple of As, an unrestored 34 Woody (cheap and solid), an important 50s 32 Hot rod. All from a deceased estate in CT. In addition to cars over 150 lots of mostly good Ford parts. Complete engines, interiors, wheels, some hard to find stuff all being sold without reserve.

Look at the catalog here http://www.bonhams.com/cgi-bin/publ...sContinent=USA&screen=Catalogue&iSaleNo=17328

I hope not - just thought members would be interested in 32 Fords.

it might be spam, but there is a lot of amazing stuff on that docket. nothing i could even come close to affording if it brings close to estimate. but cool stuff nonetheless.

I really don't see anything wrong with it, I wouldn't have known about it otherwise. It gave me the opportunity to dream for a moment. :D

at the very least it's against the cl***ified rules where everything must have a price.

maybe he should have broke the news in the general discussion area on the hamb

I hope I did not break any rules - everything in the catalog has a price or at least an estimate.

Hi, thanks for the heads up on the auction. Don't mind the people who are *****ing, they just can't afford it. They are the self proclaimed "Hamb police". They make sure that this board stays traditional and not one thread can be about anything else. Make sure you don't post any 1965 cars that are period correct, thats a no-no.

There are some nice cars in there. A couple hot rods too. Unless that woodie is a POS, I think that is a low estimate. Some stuff seems pretty high, but that that's always the case in the prospectus.

  19. i wonder if wayne karini is going to be there
i think i butchered his name
but he is always ch***ing clasic cars for bonham
    tk
also i think if a 32 4 door is worth 30-40 then that 34 woody is worth at least double that

Give me all the Deuce spam you've got!!!:D

Pierce66, Thanks for posting the link but you might want to post it on the main board so more can see it. I have no problem seeing it here and the moderator hasn't stepped in either so I don't think its a big issue with anyone else except the self-appointed police. :(

Since you are new to the HAMB, do an introduction and ignore the negative posts because this site is a great place to be.

That's the same day as the Alter Boys show in Natick. The auction site isn't terribly far away, just a short jaunt up route 9 . . . there might be few dudes shuttling back & forth.

I would say that is definately not spam and thanks for posting it. The estimates seem high but thats why they're called estimates. I have to wonder if in this economy there are 10 people all of whom will attend this auction and then be willing to pay as much as $50,000 for a 32 Fordor? Maybe. But I doubt it. I think if a guy that was seriously in the market and had cash attended he might be able to get one a them 32's. There was a couple Fordor fixers that looked pretty good.
A question for the 32 roadster guys. Is $100,000 to $135,000 a realistic estimate to you for a minty restored V8 32 roadster? That estimate blew the shoes off my feet but then while I like em', I ain't that big of a 32 guy.

actually, this post was moved here from the cl***ifieds. it was the guys first post. if anyone of us would have listed something without a price or a link to ebay or another auction site, our thread would have been deleted. i even suggested it be moved here.
i still think it's spam. how much do you think pierce will contribute to the board? do you think he's here to stay or just wanted to inform us of this auction and split?
