  5. Wow that must have been a wild ride, love it! I like how they are talking about so much money being invested in the 427, wish I had that mill today!

Awesome little car. I really dig that one.

Now if someone posted that thing up here saying, "hey look what I just built!"... there would be ******* in knots and ****-fits galore lol...

Good find man. Thanks for the post.

    Bizzare...
    Fugly.
    Fast...
    Scary!

Wow, its crazy, and a 427??? Gnarley...
But, yeah...if you built it today, you know what they would call it...
But someone ( with no fear/big balls ) had a blast piloting that thing past very, VERY pretty, slower cars...
I'll bet they called it names, then, too.

Piece of junk or not , sounds like they had a BLAST !

  18. Interesting little car.

    Good find Mr. Kevin.

I ran the numbers and it looks like it's making 295 HP.
Running 115 mph shows an ET capability of 11.4.

I note that the skinnny - for nowadays slicks - and hard slicks bettered the theoretical ET by a couple of 10th's for an 11.2 ET.

More than likely the ultra low gears (4.86) contributed to the mph being down a bit.
Probably nosing over on the top end.

I hesitate to calculate the rpms through the traps....

Wow, that thing takes the term "pile of ****" to the next level by actually wasting an FE 427, a 34 coupe body and a pair of pie crust slicks simultaneously. And to think it was actually featured in a magazine. Amazing.

Probably wasn't on the car show circuit, but it looks like a real Hot Rod to me.

The hood gives it a Fiat look from the front. I dig it. Its all business. Its sad to me that some people would cal that a RR. I didnt see the front axle 4ft in front of the car, s shotgun handle shifter, mailbox carb scoop with rat installed . Its a cheap all around hot rod. Not alll hot rods are pretty. Look at mine.

I like it, belive it or not back in the early to mid '60 there was a lot of that type of cars running at the drags, they were the blue coller racers of the day, work a job all week and spend your extra money on your car while trying to raise a familey and race too. And we didn't laugh at them some run quite well and no RR cars then.

No **** man! To cool and thanks for posting. If you look at a lot of those very early 60's "B" car rags, their was a lot of this stuff being built.
My how times and rules of changed. Today this car wouldn't even make through the gates of any one of the sanctioning bodies.

I bet that thing would tense you up on a run! Love the "water header" in lieu of a radiator.

The difference between that *****in' hot rod and the rat rods we see today is that the guy who built this car probably didn't go out of his way just to make his car look rougher than it had to.

I'd own that thing in a second!
