I saw it at Paso a few years ago and don't remember seeing it since. Anyone got the skinny?

Thanks Kustom, I found a bunch of Paul's work on Rikster's site (he always has the goods). The man has a great eye.

thats one of paul's personal customs if i remember correctly. Havent seen it out in a while, he was saying it was almost ready for paint less than a year ago.

The car is indeed one of Paul Bragg's personal projects.. he has many :)

And its a 1950 Model with 51 Merc rear fenders grafted on.

Here is a photo of it partly in primer... Click on the photo to see more...

when I saw it I'm thinking it was fadeaway on one side and normal on the other. I don't remember those taillights... but I may have never made it to the back side.

...or I just could have been drinking a lot of beer that weekend.

Paul- Glad to see your 50 Merc will soon be
finished. But, quality always takes time. Have
you decided on a color? Will it be solid or two
tone like your 49? How long did you say it would
take to get an autographed copy of your book?
    Looking forward to your update.

There are three or four things that "I would never do" on that Merc, but for some reason, I love it anyway. Not only in spite of those things, but also because of them.

Know what I mean? Usually, a non Merc back window, no drip rails and round tail lights are a recipe for disaster, but this is one of teh few cars that pulls it off gracefully.

Beautifull car. What color is it gonna be?

Seeing it in primer almost makes me sad. I love the progress and it needs to be finished but I sure loved seeing that car bare. Simply amazing.
